Every other year or so, my husband and I will attend the local Nutcracker Ballet show. It’s a beautiful ballet and perfect introduction to the surprise, excitement and beauty of the upcoming holidays. Personally, I’ve never professionally danced although when I was young I’d stand for hours on end at the local dance studio watching all the girls dance -wishing I could be one of them. Alas, it never happened. But to this day I still love the beauty and magic of the Nutcracker -the dancing snowflakes, the land of the sugar plum fairy, clara, the Nutcracker, well, the whole thing!
Sugar Plum Fairy Ruby Quartz Natural Ruby Pave Gemstone Beaded Necklace
When shopping recently at a bead show I came across the most beautiful natural ruby gemstones and knew I had to have them. It wasn’t until I ‘accidentally’ set them next to my ruby quartz gemstones that the design immediately came to life. Once again, I dropped everything to work on this design and I added sterling Pave’ style stardust beads that give the illusion of fairy dust floating in the midnight sky, as Clara danced.
I have tried everything I could think of to get the best picture of these stunning and beautiful gemstones, but I just couldn’t wait any longer to intro the piece. I’m like a kid in a candy store…when I love a design so much I just can’t wait to share it with everyone. I’ll still be working on a better picture but trust me, in person, this necklace and matching earrings are beyond words -so feminine, so beautiful…
And because I love sharing my designs so much, I’m making Tuesdays -Two for Tuesdays! So for today only, purchase the necklace and get the earrings FREE!! No coupon needed, I’ll automatically ship the beaded earrings with your order.
Check out all the new beaded jewelry including beautiful holiday jewelry!

For various reasons, I just do not do many shows this year. That’s a bit sad but necessary. However, I was invited back to the Johnson & Johnson’s Ortho United Way campaign this year Clinical show. As usual, I’m super happy because I can meet and chat (albeit briefly) with all women (and men this year, too!). They have several locations outside the office and this year I added a second location outside the local office in one of the Kodak building.
First and foremost, THANK YOU to all women and men remarkable I have met and Crystal Allure of buying jewelry. A special thanks to my return customers too! Instead of support and interest in craft that encourages my desire to create beautiful jewelry for you. And without doubt, thanks to Holly to pull all this together and inviting me back for this years’ campaign.
What was interesting this year is that I have a few people ask me about the pieces, stones are used, etc. and they really listen. Make no mistake, but come on lady, we all know how men can tune us out when we talk. Although in fairness we tend to babble sometimes or just talk out loud for talking. Maybe? Think? * Smiles *
This year, I changed into my desk looks like a simple decor and new. I like to modify the table every two years or more and the new setup was perfect for the fall.
The program was so successful that I have gathered again and pump out some new designs because I was one of the first Kodak building (this is a new location for me this year) and the ladies cleaned me out! I was living with the belief that any particular woman’s belongings and is clearly on the first show because there are three in particular necklace purchased by a woman who is perfect for them. I hope you enjoy the woman is bead jewelry new you!
In the second event, which was the main location (Canal Ponds), I took out some of my “special jewels” design for all the fantastic women there. Keeping this special savings account is my way of thanking the women for their support and offer pieces that no one else to see yet. In the end, my table had been cleared out, except a few pieces. I even have a shopper’s comment (that I’m clean). But, I consider that a good thing and on this special occasion, every purchase helps the United Way as well.
You know how there are ‘reformed smoker’, you know that … they are soooo anti-smoking (and they used to smoke)?! I consider myself a ‘reform of the consumer’. Since I started designing jewelry, I just can not and will not buy products that are mass produced (any kind) if I knew I could get locally and more importantly by local artists. I found the quality much, much better and I really invest in something that not just buy it. This is another reason why I like doing this activity. This gives the opportunity to buy goods made by hand, from local artists-purchase support local economies and help the United Way. All this from one event. Fantastic!
Usually at the end of this event that I was inspired to create a host of new designs …. and if they do not sell before the next event, I promised in the year 2010, if invited back, that design will become more powerful than ever!

This 2-in-1 design necklace was made spontaneously. I tried to combined kind of natural pink-brownish color sand beads with other stone material (I forgot the name %#@$%) in different sizes, and I strung them into 8 nylon threads.
It’s need big effort and patient especially when starting the project… since I had to bundled 8 strings of sand beads – which were really really delicate and smooth – into 1 bundled. I had to pull all the strings one by one and adjust the lenght of beads carefully so many times. No wonder it made my fingers swelling… and ‘dried’ my eyes . Oh, no!
Until the project was completed…. ehmmm… I was wondering that this necklace can be worn into 2 ways. A-haa! [pls, see the pictures above].
Also, set of earring for this project has been completed. Fortunatelly… I havent’ got nice picture yet. Will be posted…
